Brioscia co' tuppu: Sicilian brioche

SiculaBrioche's brioscia co' tuppu is the brioche of the typical Sicilian breakfast, a symbol of the island's artisan tradition that you can now enjoy in the comfort of your own home. The name comes from the ‘tuppo’, the little ball of dough on top that resembles a chignon. It is soft and has an authentic flavour, just like one fresh from the oven of a Sicilian pastry shop.

The dough is made with type 0 and 00 soft WHEAT flours, lard, sugar, fresh EGG yolk, extra virgin olive oil, whole MILK powder and natural leaven. Its strong point is the packaging: each brioche is sealed in its own protective, recyclable single-serve capsule, with zero waste. You open it only when you need it, without risking spoiling the other pieces, and each one stays fresh and fragrant until you decide to enjoy it.

You can buy it individually, at 70 g, or in a box of 26 pieces. It is perfect for breakfast, as a snack or for a sweet break: enjoy it on its own or fill it with ice cream or Sicilian granita, jam or a spread. For an even more indulgent result, warm it in the oven for a few minutes and fill it with dark chocolate cream. With the single-serve pack you can take it with you for your lunch break or on a day out. Store in a cool, dry place.
