Simple Panettone | Di Stefano

Di Stefano's Panettone semplice is panettone in its most essential form, halfway between panettone and pandoro. The naturally leavened dough is made with soft WHEAT flour, BUTTER, fresh EGG yolk and sugar, and flavoured with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla pods.

With no candied fruit, raisins or coatings, it lets the softness of the dough and the aroma of BUTTER and vanilla speak for themselves. That is why it pleases young and old alike and is a perfect base to enrich as you like: with a spread, mascarpone cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Two sizes: 150 g, handy for breakfast or a snack, and 700 g, to share with the family. To bring out its flavour and fragrance, warm it at 30 °C for 10-15 minutes before serving, with a coffee or tea. Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat.

Soft wheat flour “00” (gluten), butter (milk), water, fresh egg yolk, sugar, apple purée (apple cubes, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid), natural wheat sourdough (gluten), skimmed milk powder, salt, malted wheat flour (gluten), Madagascar Bourbon vanilla bean seeds.

To maximise the flavour and fragrance, reheat the panettone to 30°C for 10-15 minutes. Serve it:
