This wine of character takes its name "Viafrancia" from the road that crosses the Baglio di Pianetto estate. It is also a tribute to the French half of the Marzotto family who own the house, who brought with them invaluable wine knowledge to Sicily.

A straw yellow wine that already promises to be very pleasant. The nose reveals fruity notes of pineapple, supported by spicy touches of vanilla and white pepper as well as fresh herbs, such as dill and thyme. A note of smoke adds even more complexity to the bouquet.

From the first sip, this fresh and harmonious wine convinces with its softness combined with a marked acidity.

Format: 75 cl.

Ideal accompaniment: Appetizers, fish, seafood, vegetable dish, Mediterranean cuisine, spaghetti with clams.

Aromas: Pineapple, herbaceous/vegetable, thyme, pepper, vanilla, smoke. Grapes: Viognier.

Vinification: Rigorous preliminary selection of the grapes. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Then aged for nine months on the lees.

Alcohol: 13% vol.

Maturation: 1 - 7 years.

Temperature for tasting: from 9 to 12°C.
